Pupil Achievement & Pupil Premium

As a church school we are focussed on the whole child and acknowledge that academic achievement and attainment is very important, but it is not the only measure of how we perform as a school, or indeed of all that our children achieve. Our mission statement, based on Matthew 5v16, 'Let your light shine that people may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.' ensures that we celebrate all 'good deeds' including academic and non-academic work and encourage the children and adults in our community to look to God to serve others. We are also passionate about being an inclusive school and recognise that children's talents lie in a range of areas, not all reflected in the school league tables and other data sources.

The school has a record of consistently high standards, reflecting the hard work by children, staff and the whole school community. We are not complacent about our position and continue to do all that we can to provide the best education to support the development of the whole child, including academic progress and achievement, within in a strong Christian framework.

July 2018 -our latest results:

The 2017-18 Year 6 have been a great group. There are so many things to celebrate and in particular the relationships they have established with our Reception children. The children, along with all Year 6 nationally, completed the Year 6 SATs and, bearing in mind the incredible changes that took place with the assessment process last year and the increased expectation, I am very pleased with how our Year 6 did.

Test data shows that children progress well from their different starting points and the proportion of children who meet and exceed the expected progress from different starting points are high compared with national figures. Standards are above the national average and significantly above the national average.

The school is above the Floor standards in both attainment and progress. This is not a coasting school.  All of the test results are significantly above the national average, especially at the Higher standard.
