John Ackerley, Foundation Governor

My experience lies in chemical research and secondary education. I have two grandchildren at Prestbury in years 4 and 5 respectively. My aim, as a Foundation Governor, is to support the Headteacher and his staff in providing a happy educational environment in which pupils can fully realise their potential in all the activities which are provided for them.

Patrick Angier, Ex-Officio Foundation Governor

Jeremy Bolton, Co-Opted Governor

I joined the FGB in September 2010 and sit on the Building & Finance and Admissions sub committees. My background is in finance as a chartered accountant, and I work in the banking sector. All of our three children attended the school from reception following our move to Prestbury in 2006, and the excellent all round education and opportunities they received have provided a solid foundation for their life now at Fallibroome. My aim, as a Co-Opted Governor, is to assist in the strategic direction of the school, and help to ensure that the high quality of education and the range of activities available are maintained in a safe and secure environment for the benefit of current and future pupils.

Paul Gibbons, Parent Governor

I joined as Parent Governor in October 2016, my background is as a Chartered Surveyor, Practicing Expert Witness and Managing Director of a Construction Consultancy business based in the North West. My daughter goes to Prestbury School and I am pleased to support the school with its strategic direction where I am current Chair of the Full Governing Body and the Buildings and Finance committee.

Reg Lord, Foundation Governor

I am a qualified accountant with Public Sector and Higher Education background; I’m also a former University Senior Lecturer & Head of Business School Directorate; treasurer and Board Member of advocacy charity for adults with learning difficulties; and former Non Exec Director and Chair of Audit Committee of the local PCT. My interests include football, golf and tennis; travel and reading. I’m an active Rotarian, a former Town Crier and an active member of St Peters Prestbury. I have two sons and four grandchildren (two at Prestbury School).

Karen McCurdy, Local Authority Governor

I joined the governing body in September 2016 with over ten years’ experience as a primary school governor at a school in Bolton. I am chair of the Personnel and Curriculum committee and have responsibility for safeguarding, anti-bullying and staff well-being. My working background is in primary education, having previously been a deputy headteacher in a large primary school. Following a career break from management to look after my two young children, I now work part time at a primary school in Wilmslow.

Emma Pickup, Foundation Governor

I have been a Governor at the school since 2013 and have twins at the school who are currently in Year 6. I sit on the Admissions and Building and Finance committees and became a Governor as I believe the school has a sterling record for providing an excellent education in a loving and Christian environment and I hope, as a Governor, to help maintain and develop this for future generations of pupils. I am an active member of the St. Peter's congregation and own a residential lettings business based in Prestbury.

Sarah Pittham, Parent Governor

I have been a Governor since September 2016 and have one child still at Prestbury. My elder children are both now at Fallibroome having had fantastic experiences here! I am passionate that the fantastic education my children have been afforded at Prestbury is able to continue to flourish and will whole-heartedly support and work with the staff and governing body to enable this to happen.

John Roebuck, Foundation Governor

I have been a resident of Prestbury for twenty five years. I am married to Caroline and we have two wonderful children, our youngest in his final year at Prestbury Primary School.
I am self employed and work in building design and project management. I am vice chair of the Admissions and Building and Finance committees.
I want to ensure that Prestbury Primary School gives all our children the best possible education and start in life. As a Foundation Governor, my most important role is supporting and developing the Christian ethos of the school.

Linda Saunders

Linda Saunders, Foundation Governor

As a recently retired teacher, I am delighted to have the opportunity to use my skills and experience as a foundation governor. I taught for over thirty years throughout the primary age range, working mainly in special educational needs. I have lived in Prestbury for over twenty years and my daughters attended Prestbury Primary School. I was recently appointed as a church warden at St Peter's Church.

Kate Collins

Kate Collins, Foundation Governor

As someone who has seen three children through education in Gloucestershire and Cheshire, with the youngest having attended Prestbury and now at Fallibroome, I am delighted to have the chance now to give something back. My aim as a Foundation Governor is to support the Headteacher and staff in continuing to provide an excellent education rooted in Christian values and practice. I am actively involved with the Church in Prestbury where I lead the World and Home Outreach Hub, including the Eco Church initiative. I have particular interests in foreign languages, reading, nature and protecting the environment.
